This season ends on an upbeat note as newly trained hills capo Konrad vatne wins his first race on day 86. He maxed at 49 after what feels like 300 seasons in training. We hope he will do well in certain types of hills races. Thomas Hummel hasn't produced a win yet but he's got a decent team behind him now and will be given every opportunity in s.24. The no1 Scottish slot has been retained for large part of the season, with a 200 plus gap between the second placed team we are looking to hold onto it for a good while. The surprise of our season was 32yr old Daniel Archibald winning two breakaways, delighted with him, he really boosted the whole team. First season in charge of the national team was ok, looking competitive in div b with a win and a few results. Outside the top riders the talent pool is thin however so we consider it our responsibility at otrc to train Scottish riders. Griswald pepper being first and is underway. Looking forward to s24 we are only really targeting consolidation in div3 as long term strategies are the teams new direction.
